Simple Homemade Apricot (खुबानी) Candy
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Farmley’s Premium Dried Apricot (खुबानी)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 tsp lemon juice
Preparation:

Cut Farmley’s Premium Apricot (खुबानी) into small pieces: Using a sharp knife, slice the Apricots (खुबानी) into small pieces. If desired, you can also pulse them in a food processor to achieve a finer texture. Set the cut Apricot (खुबानी) aside.
- Combine sugar, water, & lemon juice in a saucepan: In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of water, and 1/4 tsp of lemon juice. Stir the ingredients together until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Bring the mixture to a boil: Place the saucepan over medium heat & bring the mixture to a boil. Stir occasionally to help dissolve the sugar.
- Add Farmley’s Premium Apricots (खुबानी) to the mixture: Once the mixture is boiling, add the cut Apricots (खुबानी) to the saucepan. Reduce the heat to low & stir to combine.
- Simmer for 20-25 minutes: Allow the Apricots (खुबानी) to simmer in the mixture for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are soft and the mixture has thickened.
- Remove from heat & let the mixture cool: Once the Apricots (खुबानी) are soft and the mixture has thickened, remove the saucepan from the heat. Allow the mixture to cool slightly before proceeding to the next step.
- Dip the Apricots (खुबानी) in the mixture and roll them in sugar: Using a fork or toothpick, dip the Apricots (खुबानी) into the mixture and roll them in sugar to coat. Place the sugared Apricot (खुबानी) on a sheet of wax paper to cool.
- Allow the Apricots (खुबानी) to cool & harden: Let the sugared Apricots take a few hours, or you can place them in the refrigerator to speed up the process.
